Valorlis carries out selective collection, sorting, recovery and treatment of municipal solid waste from the six municipalities that make up Alta Estremadura: Batalha, Leiria, Marinha Grande, Ourém, Pombal and Porto de Mós.

In total, these six municipalities cover an area of approximately 2,160 km² and have a population of around 302,000 inhabitants (2011 census data).
