Valorlis will install 150 new large-capacity containers (5 m³) by the end of the year in densely populated areas with a higher concentration of food, commerce, and service establishments. This investment, of more than R$ 222,000, was financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and aims to reinforce the quality of the service provided, adapt the infrastructure to the volumes of waste generated in the areas of greatest production, and contribute to a greater recovery of recyclable materials, encouraging the correct separation of waste at the source.

Valorlis has just launched the "Glass by Glass We Make the Impossible" project, an initiative aimed at establishments in the HORECA channel (Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias), with the objective of increasing the recycling of glass packaging, promoting good environmental practices and involving local businesses in achieving the region's sustainability goals. As part of Valorlis' investment plan, 100 glass recycling bins equipped with the assisted tipping system (a model that allows the direct unloading of small containers) are being installed in the six municipalities within the company's area of ​​operation (Batalha, Leiria, Marinha Grande, Ourém, Pombal and Porto de Mós). This solution was specially developed to make the disposal of glass packaging by participating establishments simpler, more convenient and more efficient.

Last week, Valorlis began implementing a new local selective waste collection system, placing 267 1,100-liter containers in locations within the municipalities of Marinha Grande and Leiria. The goal is to facilitate the separation of recyclable waste and its placement in the respective containers, making the process more convenient and accessible for citizens. This project includes the creation of Eco-islands, with the installation of three 1,100-liter containers, intended for the three streams — yellow (plastic and metal), blue (paper/cardboard), and green (glass) — in strategic locations. In the first phase, 267 containers will be placed in the localities of Picassinos and Comeira, in the municipality of Marinha Grande, and Mouratos and Casal do Ralha, in the municipality of Leiria, serving the 3,900 inhabitants of the areas covered. Starting in early 2027, its expansion to other areas of the territory is expected.

On World Recycling Day, celebrated on May 17th, we remember that every gesture counts and every choice matters. Therefore, we highlight the "Tons of Help" campaign, a solidarity initiative that combines recycling with social responsibility, through which it was possible to allocate more than €8,000 to social solidarity institutions last year, in the form of financial compensation for recyclable material delivered for recycling. These funds positively impacted approximately 6,900 people through the support provided by the 47 institutions that participated in the campaign.

Through its 11 dealerships, present from north to south of the country, the company wants to make sustainability clearer, more human, and more present in people's real lives. The creative concept stems from a simple and powerful paradox: the impossible begins when everyone does their part. Separating packaging, recycling a bottle, placing waste in the correct recycling bin, or participating in an environmental initiative may seem like a small gesture. But when multiplied by thousands of people, this gesture gains scale, generates impact, and brings the country closer to its environmental goals.

Selective collection maintains positive trend and energy produced from waste exceeds 500 GWh. EGF, the leader in urban waste treatment and recovery in Portugal, recorded significant progress in its main operational indicators in 2025, particularly in the treatment and recovery of biowaste and selective collection, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability, innovation and operational efficiency.
